Getting calls 2-3 times a day from NGO Financial. They use multiple phone numbers from all over the country. They call anyone with a partial name of the person they are trying to harass, regardless if it's a first or last name! For example, if they want to find someone with the name of Benjamin Walker, they will call anyone with the name of "Benjamin" or "Walker," regardless if those are first or last names of the innocent people they continue to call. I've told them to STOP calling me because I am NOT the debtor they are looking for. But I continue to get calls.
This is utterly obnoxious, and I'm sick of it. Nearly 80% of my phone calls now are from NGO Financial or similar debt collector orgs. This MUST STOP!
This guy called my cell 3 days ago asking for a guy named Kevin - I am not Kevin, never have been Kevin and don't even KNOW a Kevin. He questioned me when I told him he had the wrong number, I asked who he was and said he was from NCO Financial. I again told him he had the wrong number so he proceeded to tell me he would remove my number from thier file. I now received another call today - same stupid guy calling and asking for the same name! I reminded him of the call 3 days earlier and him telling me he would remove my number from his "file". He then tells me he has several "files" for this person? HA! Right! Sounds like I called him out and he didn't know what to say. I told him I know they are a scam debt collector calling random numbers and he mimicked me!! Jerk! I told him based on all the complaints posted about thier company that I reported them after the 1st call and will now report them again on the DO NOT CALL...at least for starters. I am listed, never done business with them, asked them to remove my number, have 0 debt and they still call! I'm sure this will not end soon.
They wanted me to use their service. This something that was done before with offering new mortgages to people and they say "We are calling about your mortgage and would like you to call immediately" This one wants you to use them to wipe out debt. Fraud
Haha - what about those who have not been able to find work. They suddenly lose their job and cannot currently pay because they are trying to keep a roof over their heads. The reason we are in a recession is because of the jobs being sent to other countries and no industry to replace those being outsourced. If the unemployment were not so high, then people would be working and be able to pay their bills.
