got a call from "jenny"--same MO as many here have said...jenny said she was returning my call about my computer, and yes, (duh), she had a east indian accent. I told her i hadn't called anybody, then I invited her over and said i wanted to shove my (not broken) computer where it would be permanently protected from harmful direct sunlight....she didn't understand what i was saying...dangit.
Called 11-28 @ 11:49 AM from 707 337 4930 claimed to Microsoft phone ID read out of area
Called again on 11-28 @ 1:02 PM phone ID Hanson Judee K Same scam
Called again on 11-29 @ 1:23 said nothing after " I answered saying Microsoft help Desk how may I help you"
They hung up real quick.
All calls where from 707 337 4930 just different ID's
Here's what you do when these pieces of dirt from Pakistan call about Windows support. Act surprised and then thankful for their help. Let them go off for a while with their instructions. Not a bad idea to put the phone down at some point so you can "answer the door." When you've made them sufficiently wait then it's "Wait a second. You're with Microsoft support? I totally misunderstood. I have an Apple."
Feels good.
