I answered the call today by pressing 1. Informed the person on the other end immediately that it was 8:30am and I wanted to be removed from their calling list. He hung up on me. I suspect pressing 1 will either stop the calls or I just found a new strategy to deal with them, which is - they don't want to be wasting minutes talking to someone who isn't going to take on their services --- so the next time they call I'm going to keep them on the line for as long as I can just talking about what service they offer at some point I will ask him to wait as my doorbell just rang or I have to put him on hold to go talk to my husband to see what he thinks or I have to put him back on hold to let the dog out -- see how they like that when I inform them at the end I'm not interested.
A long blast from a Marine Air Horn works wonders. Other similar air horns can be picked up at local dept stores. I haven't had a call for over 8 months from "Microsoft Support" telling me I have a virus.
