I receive a few calls daily from this number about lowering my interest rate without identifying who they represent....when I press 1 to speak to a representative I get the background sounds of a call centre but the same man each time with a very strong accent speaking so fast that I can't understand...when I request that I be removed from the call list he hangs up....clearly a crank call
Get OFF the Do Not Call Registry!! It only blocks Canadian companies from legally calling you but the list is also public info to international companies!!
the Do Not Call Registry only works to stop legitimate telemarketers. There are lots of exceptions for Political calls, Charities (usually bogus), Polling Companies, etc. It of course does not stop scammers (usually calling from overseas) using "spoofed" numbers on your caller ID to appear local (or at least in the same Country) and to make it very hard to trace the crooks ...
