Got a call from a man calling himself barbara, I currently have 64 phone numbers saved for CARD SERVICES in my phone and guess what??? Every single one is an out of service number or unallocated or some [***] like that. This is a scam from a disreputable company.
Craig's got it 100% right as far as the similarity to gun laws goes. Laws don't stop lawlessness. Wait, wait, I know! We'll pass a law that it's illegal to disobey laws!
I sue telemarketers -- when I can find them. Again using a gun analogy, it's like varmint hunting -- but pays a heck of a lot better. :)
I get to a live person and am ready with a blow horn. Give them 2-3 good loud "bringing in the New Year" toots. They hang up quickly. I turn the constant annoyance from 5 different scam numbers into a bit of fun.
