I got an "arrest" call today. So. . I posted their number on all my social media, and we blew up their phones for hours, hundreds of people calling. They finally stopped answering.
I just got a call from John Hill law firm stating I owed $997.98 in past due bills at that in an hour I would be arrested and then I will owe $8485.87 the number they called me from was (714)515-8016
Total scam being run out of India. They are spoofing local numbers. Being in debt is not a crime and you can't be arrested for it. We don't have debtors prisons in the US and haven't since the 1830s. In any event crimes are prosecuted by public prosecutors, private law firms have nothing to do with it.
I received a call from JohnHill law firm saying I had a case against me and that my lawyer should contact them at 714-464-6852.They said I owed over $800.00 dollars and if I did not pay with in two hours that it would increase to over $8000.00 dollars and i would be arrested at my home or work place.They had a lot of my personal information and I am very worried.What should I do?
