I keep receiving calls from this #. They never leave a message. Reverse lookup states this is a land line in Harrisburg, PA. Tomorrow I am calling Harrisburg PD to report calls from this #, even though I am on a no-call list. If they cannot help me, I will find someone who can. You should do the same.
I cannot believe how rude the responses are from the Fedloan reps in this thread. Rather than seeing this post as an attack at Fedloan, it should be seen as an opportunity to learn better ways to improve customer service.
I got an email from Fedloan myself about registering, but I intend to do everything I can to make payments in some other way, so that I won't have to use this company because of the negative feedback I've read online, and especially because of the rude responses by Fedloan employees. Had the responses been professional I would have simply written off this whole thread as a few people with bad luck.
i keep getting these phone calls saying they need to talk to my husband about a school loan he has. im not sure where they came up with this, he did not finish high school. has had his own business for around 35 years. he is 58 and we have been together for 30 years. i would think i would have known of a school loan. and not on our credit report. either they are trying toscamm or the are looking for someone else with my hubbies name. i picked up one time and they wouldnt talk to me they said they could only talk to my husband. i told them i doubt that they will get to talk to him cause he works late.so they continue to call. i just dont answer it anymore. they can leave a message on my machine.
you need to contact your loan servicers and NSLDS immediately and confirm or deny this information. If they are NOT the loan servicer that you pay monthly than they need to be reported to NSLDS as fraud. Unforutnately hacking is becoming better and better. Do NOT wait to address this.
This Gov agency is a total mess. They call saying we are behind, which we aren't, then send a refund check for overpayment... got one yesterday for 165.00, the third one this year.
