Received message saying only that they were from the banking department and were having an issue with a check. No bank name given. I refuse to call them back
There's a history of something called "Northeastern Mediations" or "Northeastern Recovery" or "Legal One" engaging in debt scamming. They tend to change their CIDs slightly (*Southeastern Mediations") each time they call from different numbers. See 800notes 716-243-3625.

got the same group after they called my wifes brother whom we have not heard from nor seen in over 15 years ... honestly i couldnt even tell you where or how they found him being we didnt even have his number nore address ..... the guy i spoke to was rude as hell and said they was calling on behalf of Gamestop ........

I just received a call this morning from this number. It was a recording and to have my legal representation call them call at some number. It did not say what it was in regards to. I just ignored it. I'm feeling this is a scam since I read the above the information.
