They never leave a message and when I do answer the phone after 1 or 2 rings, there's nobody on the other end. They call early in the morning to lateer at night.
They are Bolder Calls a company that is paid BY Allstate, Country, NODAK, State Farm and IL Farm Bureau to generate leads for agents. They are offering a free service, a comparison auto insurance quote for potential clients. There is no obligation. I used to be employed with this company in Boulder, CO. I know the script and the details of the average call. We never asked for SSN.. that is a blatent lie. The most sensitive information we asked for was DOB, and that was even optional but was needed to verify identity for a quote. I understand you all are frustrated, but let me tell you a secret my mom has used for years,simply tell them you already have the company they are calling for. It saves the innocent most likely college aged student who would take any sort of harassment from people on the phone for nearly $11/hr, and most importantly you your sanity and time.
Hope this helps. Again, I understand your frustration, but I also remember mine as a telemarketer and college student paying for student loans, saving for grad school, and buying food when $11/hr could not be beat.
