Telemarketers for Foundation American Veterans
by: Anonymous
Associated Community Services (ACS) is a telemarketing firm based in Southfield, Michigan which reportedly filed for bankruptcy & owes more than $15 million in unpaid taxes to the IRS and more than $1 million in unpaid state tax. ACS is owned & operated by Robert W. Burland, Jr. and Richard T. Cole.
ACS has been cited by the Michigan Atty General as being in violation of numerous laws and ACS retains up to 90% of funds received for telemarketing services on behalf numerous charities, including the Foundation for American Veterans. ACS badgers it’s victims repeatedly at all hours with high pressure tactics.
The owners are con artists and should be held account for their activities. I urge you to contact the owners and give them a dose of their own medicine. I’m sure they will be happy to hear from you at any time of the day.:-)
One of the biggest rip of charities organizations there is. They operate under close to 50 different names. They have multiple marketing firms to handle their scam collection funds just so they have more companies to expense out all the money they rip off from people. They use local numbers for the different states they call so as to give a local flavor to their deceitful efforts. These are all Voip numbers that they can program into their computer that make to calls. Most originate from W. BLOOMFIELD , MI. Ask if you can donate just $5 and you'll be told that their minimum donation is $15. Really? Guess they do have their standards. They are part of the Circle of Friends charities out of Florida. Less than 6% of the funds go to the charities they collect for. The rest is expenses for the fund raising and salaries of the head crooks.
I get a daily call from this SCAMMER. I use Comcast Voice and block it so it does not ring, but it still shows up on my MISSED CALLS list. Now I am using selective FORWARDING tosend it back onto itself, i.e., 720-403-9498. They can now get daily calls too!
I get calls from this outfit but they never leave a message. I assume it's a scam. My message box is cluttered up every day with hangup calls like this one. They stay on the phone just long enough to leave a blank message. I'm tempted to answer with a string of invectives. It would at least make me feel less annoyed.
