That is their same MO they scare you. They threaten you. They call names and get loud. When you ask for a physical location or a debt validation letter you will never get it!!
What has happened is they have purchased your personal private information. The original debtor sold it to them more than likely. They make calls to scam and they such you dry if you give them your checking account number!! So do not!!!! Also they work with Money Pak and Green dot corp. Money pal will claim that they have fine print on the back of their card and they will not identify the crook you paid. They support this activity and cover for them.
Scam scam scam. Stay away from recovery state solutions. Don't return their calls. Don't give them any information. Make them tell you who they are trying to reach....chances are they don't know, but they'll try to recover by threatening you with legal action. Tell them you'll only accept proof of the debt via us mail. They won't send it ... They don't know who you are or an address. That's why you should never give them any information.
These people have been calling me for months about a payday loan from two years ago they could not collect on from a bank account that has been closed for six years. I Didn't take a loan and would not have used a closed account ANY payday loan would have verified the account
This is a SCAM. They never answer the phone, when I have tried to call back, and they go by the name "Recovery State Solutions" which is supposedly based out of Colorado, BUT, Co has NO record of such a debt collection company by this name. There is however, a warning in reagards to this company and this number on the Co website. Bottom line, if I can't speak to you about something I am 100% sure I do not owe, I'm certainly not paying you a dime! Also, it is good to know that according to new laws that are in place, these companies can be fined for each phone call they make to you, after you have requested no further contact, and YOU will receive the money! See the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for more information.
