Complete scam. I received the exact same call. Never identified me by name, only says he's a private investigator and that my social, telephone and bank account numbesr were linked to an investigation. When I called back they immediately asked me to verify my social. When I declined, they hung up and told me they were going to "download" the necessary paperwork to my county's courthouse to have me arrested immediately. That was 3 months ago, and as you can see I'm still free and have never been incarcerated or even approached by the police about this imaginary investigation. It's a ploy to get your social and scam you into wiring money to them via Western Union. I reported this number to the GA Attorney General's office.
Got the same call several times for 2 days...definitely a scam as they for 1) do not ask for you by name, 2) repeat the exact message each time, 3) businesses are required to notify you by mail of any collections etc, 4) this type of problem would be handled by the police or FBI instead of a private investigator
I have received 6 of these phone calls in 3 days. Definately a scam because I don't even have a bank account. Please don't fall for this ploy. Does anyone know where to report this idiot?
Husband got a call from them today. Said he owed $700+ on a payday loan he got online. Um, nope never done a payday loan. Told if we didn't pay today he'd have to appear before a judge. Really? Where's the summons? Those don't come over the phone, someone has to actually knock on your door and hand it to you. I hate people like this!
I've gotten same call from Michael decided to look it up before calling back. Thanks everyone I checked with my bank as precaution and there was nothing out there they had received and rejected which made me wary. I will be blocking these calls.
