Complete scam. I received the exact same call. Never identified me by name, only says he's a private investigator and that my social, telephone and bank account numbesr were linked to an investigation. When I called back they immediately asked me to verify my social. When I declined, they hung up and told me they were going to "download" the necessary paperwork to my county's courthouse to have me arrested immediately. That was 3 months ago, and as you can see I'm still free and have never been incarcerated or even approached by the police about this imaginary investigation. It's a ploy to get your social and scam you into wiring money to them via Western Union. I reported this number to the GA Attorney General's office.

Got the same call from Michael Thompson private investigator out of Denver Co who left me a message. It sounded like an automated recording. I finally got through to a woman today who wanted me to make a payment over the telephone to keep my litigation case from proceeding any further. All she would tell me is it was from something associated with Equity Funding, and that I had ignored their email requests. She had my last four of my social, my address, my telephone number, my name, and my email address. I told her that I had no idea what she was talking about, and I told her to send me legal documents through the mail as I have never heard of being notified of a potential lawsuit by email. She got upset and suggested that I seek legal counseling immediately, and hung up. I feel bad for people that fall for these scam artists, especially the elderly people.
