Several of my clients got this call - I called the clown that has an accent back and informed him that he was NOT the US Treasury Department. He got just a little bit ticked off. THEN I called the New York State Attorneys General Office and reported him.
Clear Message: DON'T MESS WITH MY CLIENTS! This gal is from TEXAS and I have a little bit of LEAD to insert behind your ear!!!
Also had a call from the robotic Officer Judy Smith. I knew it had to be a scam because the robot did not use official language (call before you get arrested) and said United State rather than states. Bad english doesn't lie. If the call was from Judy Smith she would have used her own voice. When we called the number the person who answered said "I got the same call- who is this- who are you and tried to deny that the phone number was even hers- as if the number the robot gave to call back was being routed to her.
Received a robo call from Officer Judy Smith from the Dept. of US Treasury stating that a case was being filed for tax fraud. This is a well publicized scam and we did not fall for it.
Called and said it was the U.S Treasury and there was back legal tax matter that need to be addressed or would arrested by the Feds if the call was not returned immediately. Definitely a SCAM
