Yeah, it's pretty cowardly how they hide behind multiple numbers without leaving a message when they call. I mean, seriously - if PRA wants money from me on some stale debt that may not even be mine...then they better cough up some information as to what it's about! Additionally - at my convenience thank you very much! Don't just ring my phone at times the auto-dialer randomly chose. Pffft. They haven't even bothered sending a letter in writing as to what this is about. What's sad is the people who do pick up the phone and buy into their trickery. Thankfully, most of the world is getting pretty educated anymore by using sites like this one. Companies like PRA make me sick to my stomach. PRA is really nothing but a bunch of dumpster-divers.
I have been harrassed by this company for months. They are looking for someone I do not know but the few time's I've actually spoken to anyone they have the nerve to ARGUE with me about my own name! I have had this phone number for over 20 years so I have no idea where they get the idea I'm connected to this person!
They call at all hours, every day of the week and use multiple numbers from all over the country. I have reported them to the FTC and my State Atty General. I sent a cease and desist letter to them, certified, and have the return receipt but they STILL CALL! Six calls in one day last week, at least 2 per day every day this week.
I am at my wits end! How can I stop these calls?
Got a call from this number, recognized that the prefix was out of state and ignored it. No message was left. Have been called multiple times by these out-of-tate numbers and each tome I looked them up, it has been PRA. I'm honestly frustrated AND confused. I'm not even old enough to have any kind of debt, so I don't know what games these morons are playing - not to mention this is a completely new number theyalre somehow reaching me on.
I'm almost ready to answer and give them a piece of my mind.
Made the mistake of answering because I thought the ID name was our insurance company. Male with southern accent. Had my correct address and full name. I told him that I had told a previous caller that they should send me full verification and copies of what ever it is they are calling about. He kept trying to talk around the subject. Swears they have sent mail to me. Told him, no such thing. Send whatever you have by certified, return receipt mail. He just would not shut up. Finally told him I was hanging up.
