These scumbags are getting on my last nerve. They've called my home phone, office phone and cell phone each twice a day for weeks. If they're a collection agency, I've never owed a debt. They're setting themselves up for a lawsuit, and I'm the one who'll do it. Suing scumbags is lucrative for me.
About a week ago these guys called saying I owed 750.00 on credit charges but couldn't specify what. I vaguely remember the charge since it was over 10 years ago! The charge is based off one late fee. I told them I wouldn't pay it and they said I could close it at 180.00. Glad to find this site and others warning me about these shucksters. Turns out its a time barred debt and they can't collect.
This PRA has called me from going on five different phone numbers now. They start calling at 5 a.m. and continue to call until 9 or later in the evening.
They are calling on a medical debt they think I owe, they want money immediately over the telephone to 'get this issued settled and to show good faith I will pay it back'. I told them I needed to get some more information prior to my paying anything, when I called the medical facility that issued my care, they claim that it never went to a debt collection agency in the first place. (Huh, interesting)
Now they call and don't leave a message, they just keep calling and calling. Even my voicemail has been changed to specifically state that if you are an unknown caller I will not be answering your calls and to leave a message. Apparently that's too complicated for them either.
Just got a call from them. My wife answered and they asked for me---first name only. When she asked who was calling, he said "Lou Gehrig". She brings me the phone but they had hung up. Too bad--I would have enjoyed speaking to Lou. What fools.
