Same guy with Indian accent called me three times telling me I had viruses on my computer and he would fix it, same story as above. I hung up, he called back immediately. I asked to prove he worked for microsoft, admitted he was a third party. NEVER trust someone over the phone who wants access to your personal computer and information. If you are worried that someone on the phone may be telling the truth, hang up and call your actual provider immiediately. They will confirm any issues and you can report the scam.
This call was a variation on the theme of technical support scams used for years by Indian scammers. Now they are saying that they are following up on the last call they made to you. Same scam though. I just told him I didn't have a computer.
Received a call from Man with an accent today stating he was calling from Computer Network Services. He informed that I had an issue with my internet server. Immediately I explained that I do not have a computer, as I could tell it was a scam . I then informed him that I am at work and if there is an issue with the computer they should contact the IT department. They were flabbergasted and I hung up.
i also got called 3 times today and 3 times yesterday! I hate thisd horrible dishonest scammers. If you come to America to better your lives, don't try to ruin the lives of so many Americans by scamming them - you are a disgrace to your country!
