They called my cell phone and I missed the call so I called the number and got a recording saying if I wanted to be put on their "do not call" list to hit 1 now. So I did.
My cellphone rang. My cellphone is a supersecret number that I only use for special purposes known only to a small handful number of people. It was a recording that said "hello, this is a call about your credit card...". Since it was a recording and didn't ask for me by name like my real credit card company would (who, by the way, don't know this cellphone number), I hung up. I recommend anyone else do the same.
They just called me. They wanted to lower my interest rate for Bank of America or Chase. I told them I have credit cards for neither. He said with a heavy accent, "Why you don't have credit card?" and hung up.
Someone here said it was a "credit scum" company. How accurate. I have blocked the call
