received a call on my WORK # threatening to garnish my wages due to some check fraud and I had 10 days to respond. I will receive no further warnings. like everyone else, I have not written a check in at least 7 years. called the # back and there was a long hold.
My call came from a 407 T# but the recording was the same. Calling from Fraud Dept. and without a call back from me they would proceed with action without my involvement. However, it appears I am not in as much trouble as the other recipients of the call. I got 10 days to call back.
dude, they are Nigerian scam artists, no an "agency" --- they want you to call the number and most likely you are billed LONG DISTANCE charges to their Nigerian shanty town. Obviously you are either a deadbeat or a bad check writer, or you'd not sound so bloody guilty. It's a SCAM!
