This number came up on our Caller Id as "QVD", upon checking it is in theory is a Bandwidth SMS Enabled VOIP out of LaSalle, Illinois, USA. this number called our home at 8:30 AM Eastern Standard Time. We have no idea of who it is or why they are calling. We are on the Do Not Call Lists. It appears that all these types of calls & callers have more rights than those of us who have signed up for the Do Not Call Lists. We continue to report every number that calls us, each & every time they call. At times it is exhausting, but we still do so.
Maybe someday this madness will stop. At least one can hope so.
The phone rang, when my answering system first picked up I heard, is the lady of the house, when she heard my message she hung up. Left no message, called ID was QVD. I have started answering my phone on speaker, then holding down the hashtag button, after about 45 seconds I let up, usually they are long gone. This seems to be working, lately I haven't been getting calls, where I was getting them 2-3 times per day. Maybe they think my number isn't any good, you might try to see if it works. I put on anonymous call blocker, that has also helped. I wish there was a law that personal info, including buying history, can't be sold to anyone without written permission from us, the consumers.
