These wastes of oxygen have called on a daily basis for nearly a week now. The first two times I let them get as far as "want to verify your information for your online business listing" before telling them thanks but no thanks. Flatly informing them that any monkey with access to Google could tell they were a scam met with nothing but hangups and indignant denials. Now I'm just letting it ring. Any legit business would never have to spoof their number to all zeroes.
they called today, voicemail picked up part of message, seems to be the ol' "we can lower your interest rate" scam. how stupid are these people? i mean, this number is hands down spoofed.
I like to give them the cell phone number other local telemarketers use when the call back. Often we get a prerecorded message or robocall offering duct cleaning. I am on the do not call list also, so instead of just hanging up, I leave them a bogus number to call, like like FTC's do not call helpline 888-382-1222. They invariably will still call back on a cell phone trying to set up an appointment and that shows up on caller ID so I use this number to give to the new telemarketer calling to offer my lower credit card rates. I figure maybe these folks who ignore the do not call list can talk to each other, do business and boost the economy.
