I recieved the same phone call over 50 times now from various numbers. Each time they say the same thing exactly what you have listed here. In fact, they have contacted my work desk phone and threatened to show up at my office to collect the debt. FYI I have never used a payday loan service, never had to. The info they give over the phone is outlandish and is clearly a scam.
I agree with the above comments this clown name Andy Collins calls from a 786-270-5910 phone number and leaves messages to return the phone call to 6143407336 ext 3009. He was in a meeting so I was told he would call me back. He calls back and rattles off information about a Payday loan that I got in 2010 at Keybank under Westgate and names off my two references as a cousin that I havent talked to in 20 years and a sister that I would not have used as any reference. He knew the last four of my SS# and none of the information was accurate. I have lived in MD for 8 years and I have not taken a Payday loan out from Keybank or Westgate(my timeshare) all a bunch of lies. Then he said I advise you to contact your lawyer he was proceeding with wage garnishment in Franklin County. Very bizarre and alarming that they have this much information.
I got a call from this number and i listened to the crap. Same message I have been getting from other #'s which I also reported as a scam. They did have my last digits of my social, which I don't know how they got, and they claimed is was about a payday loan which I did not get. They too, also threatened me. It is a scam. I let it go to my voice mail, because I didn't recognize the number. They claimed they were from Retrieval Mediation. I called them back and said just so you know i reported your number as a scam, and told them to stop scamming everybody told them that I reported them to the FCC as a scammer.
How do these people get our Social Security number? I just received a call. Threatening tone of voice. Tries to intimidate. I too asked for info to be sent response we have mailed you multiply times. False and Lie. I hung up on them.
