Same here also Christina Brown called and left same message- I call them back and asked for their names and office location before I give them any of my information- it was then that they hung up on me and also blocked my calls because now I can't call them back to harass them- only busy signal when I call their number.
I just got home to hear the message, she also stated on my answering machine that she was Christina Brown, but she is from the Dept of legal affairs. There was a lot that I did not understand what she was saying. But she did say this was a "Very Important issue" and not calling back "could lead to a legal mess", and that I should "Take this right and call her back" Does anyone every actually think this stuff is for real and call??
i got the same call and i'm afraid people DO think it's for real and call back. if what they are doing wasn't working, they wouldn't be in business and that's just heartbreaking and infuriating. they mostlt prey on older people. my father and stepmother get these kinds of calls all the time, some of them are the other kind of call, where they tell you that there's all kinds of money available, if you help them out by sending them money to ay various "fees". then they'll share the riches with you. my dad has a blast with sometimes, but my stepmom is another story. i know for a fact, that if it wasn't for me and my dad, constantly telling her it's a scam, she would definitely send them money! the IRS one i don't think she'd fall for so much, but she's been talked into buying all sorts of things over the years and she has a shopping addiction. these are the kinds of people the scam artists rely on and that's why they cam keep doing what they do-dumb gullible people. i usually don't answer the phone if i don't recognize the number, but the times i have been caught by these soul sucking jerks, i say horrible things to them-it can be quite satisfying! LOL i.m like you though, i DO NOT understand how people believe this crap and get sucked in. i never will.
i got a badly recorded message from a woman with a heavy accent, saying the same thing some others on here said. she said it was "a very important message" that could "lead to a legal mess." the caller I.D. just said miami florida and the number was different than the one that was on the message. the number on the caller I.D. is 1-786-235-8069. i just hope there's a ring of hell especially reserved for these immoral, unethical a**holes. seriously. i think i'll call back and see if i can get a human on the phone and have some fun.
Got home from work to a voice message from a female by the name of Christine or Christina Brown with a heavy accent, saying she needed to speak with me regarding a legal affair and I needed to contact my Attorney because legal action was going to be taken against me. The number on my I.D. was 786-235-8069, but she gave a call back number of 786-735-2007. So, I called back and a gentleman answered with a worse accent than the female who called me. He then called me by name (I'm guessing due to their called I.D.), and said he needed my address, social security number and the name of my Attorney because they were taking legal action against me. I told him to kiss my a$$, don't call my house anymore and the only person who would be needing legal representation would be him and Christine if they called my f****** house again. Then I got a dial tone........this is definitely a scam. DO NOT GIVE UP ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!!
