Technical support scam. They targeted my parents before. Told my dad he had to go out and get a Moneygram for $199 to remove viruses from his computer. Um...no. Can't believe nobody has destroyed these [***] yet.
Are you on the Do Not Call Registry? If you are go to their website and file a complaint. Tell them everything you wrote here. The more info you can give them the better. If they can be nailed, they will be fined and from what I understand the more they call the heftier the fines get. Someone told me the fines start at $1,000.

Next time the call get the name of the person calling and a direct phone number. Then tell them you will have your attorney get in touch with them.

Sheri, go to Do Not Call Registry and file a complaint with them. Give them as much info as you can.
They keep calling my cell phone, I just make a list of the calls during the day, I don't answer them and they are all number I do not recognize, all missed calls with no messages. That tells me they are telemarketers or scammers.
When I go on the computer in the evening, I come here to check the numbers just to be sure, they I go to the Do Not Call Registry. Some days I report 1 number sometimes I report 10. They hear from me. They can't stop these scammers, spammers, and telemarketers if we don't help them.
