Called 6:00 on a sunday night. Left message on the machine because they thought someone had picked up. Couldn't understand some of the message but they said something like "Hello this is so and so calling from so and so associates and I would like to speak to a registered voter...... Anyone on the line?"
And they hung up.
I told the caller immediately that I was on the National Do Not Call List (Canada) and that I would like to request immediate removal from their calling list. The person then told me "This isn't a sales call." I said I didn't care and that I wanted off their list and requested removal for a second time. I didn't give them time to argue a second time, said goodnight and hung up.
CRTC needs to change the rules about call display. All survey companies and telemarketers should be legislated to display a proper company name when they call. Not just "Unknown".
