I received a call but didn't answer since it wasn't in my contact list. The following week I received a follow-up letter in the mail from Fidelity letting me know they had tried to reach me by phone. It could be legit, I do have a account with them, but I know how to contact them if I want to.
The number is not a scam. It actually is Fidelity and the call is legit. If they're calling you, then you're probably a customer already. They're really good about honoring your request so if you ask them not to call, they won't. Chances are that if they are calling, there is a good reason why because these guys don't cold call nor solicit.
pretty sure it's a legit call from Fidelity. I haven't picked up recently but have in the past and they were polite. It seems if you check your online account it triggers a call.
