I received a call but didn't answer since it wasn't in my contact list. The following week I received a follow-up letter in the mail from Fidelity letting me know they had tried to reach me by phone. It could be legit, I do have a account with them, but I know how to contact them if I want to.
Fidelity.. so they say... asking for someone who is NOT ME. I don't see how they can get MY number with someone elses PHONE NUMBER who I do know. I am suspicious and asked them to remove my number since I am NOT the person they were calling for.
I received a call from this number, and the caller left a voice message saying that she was calling from Fidelity regarding my account. Instead of calling this number back, I called Fidelity's customer service number listed on their webpage (800-835-5097). The customer service rep told me that they had not contacted me. In fact, they would never call me, but email me if required.
