I just received a call from someone calling themselves "Real Estate Hardship Service", but was unable to get my question's answered about who they we're working with, or what would be the homeowner's obligation be to them. And I was given an abrupt dial tone when I asked did they have a website for verification.
I got a call from that number today at 2:34pm...i didn't answer of course..unless they leave a message if it's important i'll call back..so just to see who it was i call back anyways without them leaving a message and all it's says was " this number is not in use--thank you for calling good bye!" wtf how u call me from a number that's not in used..
Got a call from them at 1:25 today, really annoying because I am currently in the midst of looking for a job and have been making sure I answer every unknown number. I dont need to be spammed on my cell phone.
NDNC is not what we were all led to believe it to be by our illustrious leaders of this country. Filing a report with the NDNC is never acted up by the authorities. All complaints filed are directed to a National database for research purposes only by law enforcement agencies and law makers. Filing such reports to the FTC/FCC will only be acted upon as long as the telemarketer/caller is violating laws such as "war dialing", "cramming calls" etc. If you ask the telemarketer to remove you from their calling list, if they do not comply with the request and continue to call you, document each call by date, time and name of caller, then you can file a civil lawsuit against them and with the proof you can get a tidy judgement against them. At the very least the judgement will reimburse you for the filing expenses and then some. Our government does not take any action on our complaints unless it affects them directly on an individual basis and one of them becomes the target of one of these pond scum harrassing groups. Then watch and see how fast they are taken down!
The NDNC website clearly tells you that your complaints are not acted upon but directed to the database. The majority of telemarketers know this and therefore ignore the laws that state they are not permitted to contact any phone number registered with the NDNC registry. They are aware that nothing will happen to them and they continue to harrass us. That is why I NEVER ANSWER OUT OF AREA, PRIVATE, OR 800 CALLS! They get the answering machine and 100% of the time they simply hang up, call another day and get the same treatment. I don't waste my time or efforts with these calls. I look up the number on the internet and read the postings just to find out what the general reason for the call is. Simply curious. I can find out what is going on and don't have to talk to anyone and especially don't have to get angry that my privacy is being invaded by pond scum (the lowest form of life known to mankind).
