The best thing is : screen your calls and do not answer them. The problem is that
some times we think it may be a relative in an emergency calling from a borrow phone.
I wish there were a Government Agency that could control that abuse of our privacy!
You are absolutely right ! I fell for that Microsoft thing and the result: Someone, using my name
and all my info. opened an account with my name on Pay Pal, I still fighting to see if they
(Pay Pal) will do something about the $ 900. someone charged to my credit card. ( I froze my credit card)
I no longer use credit cards.
This number has called me three times to report security issues with my personal laptop. I do not have a personal laptop, so there is no way this could be the case. The last time they called, I said 'Please do not call me anymore I know this is a scam.' The man on the line called me a 'stupid [***] [***]' and hung up/
They just called me, and yeah, they were trying to get me to buy this "anti-hacking" software for somewhere between $70 and $150...it's definitely a scam. Tell the guy to screw off and hang up.
called to say he was working for Windows. Once I called him out on it, he started asking if I was a man or a woman (yeah my voice is deep). I said "yeah I'm a man man. I have a dick and everything". And he starts going "balls? you have balls?" Over and over again while ignoring anything else I said. Wonder what this dude will do with my number now.
