Same issue as all the above. Told the thick accented man that I want his address and full corporate name. He got angry, shouted and called me a Mother F'er then hung up. This is a registered number in Vermont, hopefully a way to get it shut down and traced.
How do we shut this guy down? Clearly a scam.. I just hung up after listening to his spiel for about 10 seconds.. what a joke! This guy could cause some real damage to more susceptible elderly people (they are more trusting of these scam artists).. I say again, how do we shut this guy down (or at least turn off his service)? If he's read these comments, he's probably laughed at all the people he's bothering -- so how do we stop this nonsense?
Caller with heavy middle eastern accent, claiming to be calling regarding a fix for my Windows computer. I told him I was confused why they called me, since none of our computers are registered under my name or phone number. When I asked where he got my phone number, he informed me that I was a part of his call Registry. Yes me to turn on my Windows computer, and I informed him that I was not at my computer but was in a vehicle. After a few minutes he gave up and said okay bye. When I called the phone number back, it said it was an inactive number. Obviously phony phishing scam.
Called my work number, I picked up the phone and the caller hung up. Called again about an hour later and I asked him how I could help him, he said, "you can't help me, help your boss". Then he hung up. Wrote the number down so the next time he calls, I will pick up and hang up. Very annoying!
