This heavy accented person with a common american name said he needed to help me with my Microsoft Windows from an attack. I don't use Microsoft Windows but he wanted to walk me through some steps so he could have control over my computer to move files. When I called him out he said vulgar names and actions to me. Ive gotten several calls from identical cases with different numbers. Ive reported to the FCC with no avail. I guess there are allowed this criminal activity.
Just recd a call from this number. Based on earlier comments, it sounds like the same type of call and person who has called numerous time before, but usually with a different caller ID each time. If you call back, the number is disconnected. I've tried yelling at "john smith" with a heavy accent, cussing at him, asking him for his name and home phone # so I can harass him as he is harassing me, blowing a whistle into the phone, messing with him by saying hello, hello, etc and they still keep calling. Why can't they be stopped--people can hack the IRS and the FBI, so why can't we figure out a way to track these callers and make them stop? Some of us work from home or have elderly parents in nursing homes and spouses with terminal diseases (or all of the above!) and we just don't need this type of irritation. Plus they are tying up a phone which is critical for our lives and problems, not for dealing with foreigners and their scams.
