Received a call stating they were calling from the CT state dept of health. After informing them I was on the DNC list they informed they had reached my number through a process of Random Digital Dialing. Which is something about how there diaper is set up with the area code and prefix automatically then the dialed proceeds to dial the last 4 digits at random (I guess to avoid any form of discrimination based on income, martial status, or race). After a few more questions I had felt comfortable enough to participate. No indentifying information was asked of me and for some of the questions I refused to answer the interviewer would politely move on to whatever question they had next without any hassle. It's a long twenty minutes but it was informative and overall not as bad as I had thought it was going to be
They are still calling. They called on Labor day and then 8:30 at night. I tried calling them back during the day to take my number off their list but all I got was voice mail after being on hold for 5 minutes. I don't know if it is a scam but it is annoying. If I actually get a person I am going to tell them, All of us in CT are sick and tired of high taxes. So report that back to the State.
I got a phone call from that number and the caller introduced himself as a representative of the Connecticut department of health. Don't they realize people nowadays have caller ID? And don't they realized Connecticut residents know all their state department are located in Hartford (area code 860)? Beware of scam!!!
they called and left me a message saying they were from the CDC department of health for CT and they were taking a survey from every person in CT! Very nastily they told me they would all back in a couple of days for required interview. I blocked the number and called my personal dr and was told no one by law can ask about personal health problems with a co scent form signed! Don't answer any questions!!
I am also getting calls from these people - ICF Macro - almost every day around dinner time or a little later. I have never been someone who screened calls, but I do now. I am on a no call list, but that doesn't stop them. What can we do to stop them? No one should ever answer any questions asked by people who call them. Best just not to answer at all.
