Received a call stating they were calling from the CT state dept of health. After informing them I was on the DNC list they informed they had reached my number through a process of Random Digital Dialing. Which is something about how there diaper is set up with the area code and prefix automatically then the dialed proceeds to dial the last 4 digits at random (I guess to avoid any form of discrimination based on income, martial status, or race). After a few more questions I had felt comfortable enough to participate. No indentifying information was asked of me and for some of the questions I refused to answer the interviewer would politely move on to whatever question they had next without any hassle. It's a long twenty minutes but it was informative and overall not as bad as I had thought it was going to be
This old stump jumper from VT just called my unlisted burner phone to conduct an interview for CT? Cut it to Flock out change lo to U :). Never give out info to anyone on the phone especially some inbred from VT.
They have called my cell twice now I don't answer but they did leave a message something about the state of CT they forgot the UN in the middle of CT :) I don't answer any number i don't know and I certainly don't answer questions about my heath. Have these fools not heard of the health privacy act??? Block the b a s t a r d s if you can ignore them if you can't. Panasonic makes an awesome cordless phone set that blocks 250 numbers and even blocks a series like 877. This phone system even connects to my cell phones. I don;t work for Panasonic but this is an awesome product that has saved us a ton of aggravation from these a s s h o l e s. It even silences the the first ring before the caller ID info is picked up.
The call is legit and was preceded by a postcard identifying it as a survey being conducted by the State of CT Department of Public Health. As such they are not subject to the DNC regulations.
They do not ask intrusive questions, just general inquiries about overall health. Your insurer and CVS have more intimate information about you. Really not a big deal if you decide to participate or not.
