Lady called claiming to be with Direct TV and wanting to offer me channels for free for several months, for being a valued customer. I asked her if I would need to call back to cancel the channels later and she said I would get emails informing me before they would charge my account. I hung up and looked at the channels she said she was giving me, I immediately called Direct TV to tell them I did not want these channels. They were adult channels. Direct TV said there was no changes to my account and that the 805-256-1462 is not them. Do not pick up!
received a call just now from this number some lady trying to see if I wanted to "upgrade" my Direct Tv Package, weird since I already have the most expensive package offered, nfl Sunday ticket, all MLB games; literally everything, could be scammer, but maybe not.
Just recvd the call that the caller id says DirectTv. We have direct tv so I answered - person hung up on me. So I contacted DirectTv. They said none of their phone numbers or ATT's who they have partnered with, have this phone number..and said its a scam.
I asked if they were going to report the scammer using their business name flaudently - said he'd report to his supervisor. Will he - don't know.
This number has called me at my office once a day for the last couple weeks. I have answered it a few times, but no person or robot has ever been on the line. The caller ID says DirecTV, which was installed at my home shortly before the calls began. I'd be happy to talk to them if there was ever a response when I answer.
