I saw that it was a number I did not recognize so I did not answer. They did not leave a message but my caller ID said it was "Broadband Dynamics" in New Albany, IN.
I just got a call from this number. Asked for someone I don't know. I asked what number they dialed (as I have six numbers all coming to one phone) and it was mine. Also told me the address for that person and it was the same UPS store that I get my mail, but a different box. My guess is they look for neighbors that might know the person.
Unfortunately, they are not bound by the DNC list as they believe they have a relationship with someone at the number. Though I do believe they do have to stop calling once you tell them to, so ignoring the call won't stop them. Now if they could just pass that along to the next collection agency when they sell the debt. :(
My library wants to charge me for materials I returned months ago...and I have no minutes left on my cellphone anyway. My number is listed with the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY so I think going up to the registry and lodging a complaint with them should take care of this little problem.
Have called several times, several random days, always after 8pm. Never leave a message, and I never answer nor do I call back! After reading above posts, library debt makes perfect sense as I do owe the library money....$85 for one book??!! yeah,....so totally legit, wish they had better times of calling tho
