Same thing - three calls. Boy am I scared! IRS does not call anyone. These scammers will meet their match one day when they are in the middle of their recordings and turn around and find themselves being arrested.
I got a recorded call from Officer Brian Snieder with the IRS Department. He said an arrest warrant was issued for me and my physical address. He said to find out more details I need to call him at 818-436-6572. He said it is very important that I call him today. Today is 2/9/16. He called me two times today. It can be very frightening for older people, someone who owes the IRS, or paranoid people. Fortunately, I am non of them. Reported the call to the FTC at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/Information#crnt&panel1-1
This number called my house twice today. I am CERTAIN that it is a scam. I am a CPA - the IRS will NEVER contact you via telephone. I have worked with many IRS agents and they will only contact the taxpayers via mail. If it is important - it will be registered or certified mail only.
Officer Brian Snyder of the IRS stating that I'm under federal investigation and so is my house. I needed to call him back asap. 818-436-6572 - Called 3 times so far today.
Me to this is what they say,,,The reason for this call is to inform you that the IRS has issued an arrest warrant against you and your physical address is under Federal investigation. So call me back to get the detail information about your case. My call back number is 818-436-6572. I repeat it's 818-436-6572. It's very important we hear from you today. Thank you."
