This number has called me multiple times. He said my windows computer is infected I said I have a Mac and he said he meant to say Mac. He told me he works for apple. I hung up. He called right back and said why did you hang up on me. I told him to stop calling and he told me he would call me five times a day.
Showed up as "John" on my caller ID. "John" who sounded like he was straight from Pakistan, said he was calling from Windows and it was VERY important and was I in front of my computer? I like playing with these people, so I told him I sure was. He said, "can you tell me what is on the screen right now?" I said, "Can you tell my why you need to know?" He repeated that he was from Windows and that it was very important. I said, "Actually, let me tell YOU what it is, it's a scam and what you need to do is go back where you came from and drive your camel over a cliff." "John" hung up.
They call, different times of the day. Today, June 1st they called at 7:41am(est). Let me just say, if I was still sleeping I would have been livid! They never leave an actual message, just background noise. I called the number back and got the message to press 1 if I wished to be removed from their call list and not receive any of their special offers. It said to please allow up to 72 hrs for my number to be removed from their call list. I am already on the National Do Not Call list, so they should not be calling me!
john called said illegal activities were being made from this computer and if I didn't help he would disconnect it from the server. I hung up after telling him he was crazy.
