I am 15 years old, these people called me and there is one problem, there were no zeroes but they told me my acc was locked and they said press 1 to talk to one of our agents or something, so I press one as my stuborn self, and it is still a computerized recorder voice call, and it said press one to unlock my acc and something or other.
Caller ID "Illinois Call". Electronic call, press one to get important information about your credit card accounts and lowering your interest rates. Pressing one got me a gentleman with a heavy Indian accent claiming he worked for Credit Card Services. When I asked him who that was he said they were the people that sent me my Visa and Mastercard bills. Since I was so good about paying my bills on time for the last 6 months, they wanted to give me a chance to lower my interest rates. Of course he couldn't give me details about any specific account because he didn't have them.
He asked if I wanted to lower my interest rates and I told him the only thing I wanted to know is why they were calling me since I was on the Do Not Call Registry.
His response was, "F you and F your Do Not Call Registry" and then he hung up.
I enjoyed our chat so much I hope he calls back. Maybe I can waste even more of their time the next time.
This number from Illinois is so obviously a scam. Who has a phone number 000-0000? I have begun simply pusing the call button, then immediately pushing the off button to cut them off. Why doesn't someone do something about these scammers?
The call is from Antioch, Ill. These calls are from different groups of people and they are phishing for your information. Report them and their number to your State Attorney General and he will forward it on to the proper people. If we don't put a STOP to them, who will?
