They keep calling and saying that they have left several messages for me to call to take care of a
personal matter. However, I do not have an answering maching, So how in the hell can they leave a message for me to call them back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who in the hell are these people.
When I told the "Global" supervisor they they had violated the FDCPA act, he laughed and said "We'll call you every day then."

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) makes collection agency harassment illegal and them calling you after you tell them not to at home or work is harassment.
§ 806. Harassment or abuse [15 USC 1692d]
A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:
(5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.

I'm a switchboard operator at a college. I get calls numerous times a day from this number asking for someone that has never worked here. No matter how many times I tell them that person is not here, they continue calling. They're always less than friendly and try to get more information from me about this person they're looking for, even after I've told them I have NO idea who the person is (even if I did, I wouldn't be able to give out any information). They are NEVER professional and are extremely pushy. I've hung up on them a few times now, but they continue calling back.
I keep getting phone calls from this number at all hours. When I answer, no one is there. I phoned back once, and a woman answered and hung up on me when I asked who was calling. I am unhappy about these calls, and I need to find a way to stop them.
Global debt collection has caller ID: Toll Free Call
Uses several phone numbers: e.g., 800- 454-2227, 866-915-5209 , 856-689-9148, 800-454-2227; none of which display a valid Caller ID.
Not only does this debt collector use deception, they are persistent. Calling several times a day using different phone numbers to avoid detection and obscure information that would lead to a law suit for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act.
