Uses several phone numbers: e.g., 877-647-3044, 866-915-5209 , 856-689-9148, 800-454-2227; none of which display a valid Caller ID.
Not only does this debt collector use deception, they are persistent. Calling several times a day using different phone numbers to avoid detection and obscure information that would lead to a law suit for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act.

I've set my phone service to ignore calls with invalid ID's . . . my son has told me that I should file for bankruptcy anyway . . . because of back taxes on inherited property. He said that should bring an end to the harassing calls . . . .
They try to call my office and threatening that an action would be filed if I continue to igonore their call and I am running away from my obligations which is I contested long time ago since it was not a valid calim.
same here - told them not to call any more and only contact by mail - now they have other people in their office call every day like nothing has ever been discussed. Like Cathy - i am saving the info for a lawyer.
You know there are websites that provide background information on anybody for a charge. Phone numbers, addresses, employment and even aquaintances are given. I don't know how these companies get their info but I'm sure debt collectors use them. Once the collectors get this info, there is no convicing them they're wrong.
