I got the same message left on my voice mail from same phone number, caller ID says Blackwood NJ. On my message the caller left his name as "James Caston", he spoke with an accent. I'd say the message was pre-recorded.
Ok, where do I start? Last year, around this same time, I received a call from a similar scam artist. That time he identified himself as "Steve Martin" and stated he was from the Department of the U.S. Treasury and was calling to inform me of a legal action against me and that if I didn't respond, I would be arrested. I answered the call because I have several friends with the area code they were calling from. After listening to his scripted rant. I informed him that I was aware of IRS procedure having a relative who works for the IRS and that I knew this was a scam and for using a name like "Steve Martin" that he wasn't very funny and needed to work on his sad comedy act. He then proceeded to become belligerent and insisted that I take action to pay the $4,500 I owed them or he would call the police to have me arrested. I told him, I'll be waiting. Well, I'm still waiting and it's almost a year. This morning I received this same call but with this number 1 856-718-8908 and since I was sleeping it went to voice mail so he changed his name to Stuart Wilson and went on the same rant on my voice mail. Instantly blocked now. Nice try Mr. Wilson.
