I got the same message left on my voice mail from same phone number, caller ID says Blackwood NJ. On my message the caller left his name as "James Caston", he spoke with an accent. I'd say the message was pre-recorded.
Cathy, I contacted the IRS the other day to verify this information. They agreed this was a scam. Do not worry. Look for my message and read what I wrote. No worries.
Total scam. Originates in either India or Pakistan. Block and ignore. DO NOT RETURN THE CALL!

get even, everyone should constantly call him at 856-718-8908 to tie up his lines and drive him out of business
if the gov't does not arrest him, at least make being a false IRS agent not profitable
-have fun
I received a call from another number, (206) 708-2849, asking me to call this number. The caller did not wait for my voice mail greeting to finish, but launched straight into his spiel. This is quoted from my Comcast voice mail transcriber, which can be comical in itself:
"You regarding an enforcement action executed by the United States treasury and tending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before magistrate judge or a grand jewelry for the federal criminal offense. My number is 856-718-8908. I repeat it's 856-718-8908. I'd wife you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you."
He said "jury", not "jewelry" and "like", not "wife".
