I got the same message left on my voice mail from same phone number, caller ID says Blackwood NJ. On my message the caller left his name as "James Caston", he spoke with an accent. I'd say the message was pre-recorded.
Stewart Wilson, a so called as a US federal magistrate, saying I was in trouble with the IRS. 856-719-8908. Spoke with like an African accent. What a bull [***].
Same scam that calls my house every couple of months. Same voice, different name. He used my name in the past and now it is generic. I have reported it but since they change numbers often nothing can be done. I am tempted to call them back just to totally mess with them hoping they will remove my number. He has called us 6 times in the last two weeks. I'm sure the IRS, not the Dept of Treasury would want my back taxes, if I actually owed any. They send letters people, they don't call your house!
Just got the call from 856-718-8908. Could not make out the name, but here's why I'm sure it's a scam: the IRS would notify a specific taxpayer by name, via first class mail, maybe even return receipt. The caller does not idenfity who they want to talk to -- we have actually have more than one taxpayer in this family "residing" at this phone number. Total BS. I used the get these messages from someone in New York. I wish I knew who to report this to.
