This collection agency, Portfolio, is repeatedly calling me under various guises. They have been requested not to call me because the debt they say they are trying to collect was written off SEVERAL years ago. Today they called my home and they pretended they were calling from Florence, SC. Interestingly, I received a text on my cell phone last night from a friend who was visiting Florence, SC. In the past I had a phone conversation with someone in another location. Now I am thinking it was not so coincidental that I received a call from this same company with my called ID showing that same location. This is spoofing, invasion of privacy and hacking.
Calling my home to speak with my son, who is a MINOR!
Totally unacceptable. Sound like a scam or wrong person persecution.

SCAM from Portfolio Recovery. Trys to collect on PAID OFF credit cards, etc. from as long as 15-20 years ago. They prey upon and target senior citizens hoping they'll panic and forget the debts are PAID. BLOCK. REPORT. CRIMINALS. Send them to jail.
