Another one of the Windows Tech Center scam. Try to say that they are responsible for all of Windows but deny any relationship with Microsoft. Going on how they monitor everything I do on my computer and that I have malware on my computer. They call almost daily and want to take control over your computer for their monetary gain. It is unbelievable what they use to convince you your computer is infected. For all the error messages they claim to have received from your computer they can not even tell what OS is sending the error messages.
Received a call from this group telling me I had a virus with Windows (I knew it was a scam) and he starts the spill I needed to turn my computer on and to get in front of the computer, I told him I was calling Microsoft and McAfee he then told me all I had to do was turn my computer on and he would take care it. Right. I told him take me off his scam list and hung up.
A woman with what sounded like an Indian accent called at 6 am said there was a problem with my computer that's why they were calling so early. I told her bullsh** my husband is a computer security analyst. Funny how quickly she hung up..
Sounds like a call center, a female with an Indian-esque accent. Repeatedly told me I had a problem with my "Windows Computer" yet when I asked what company she was calling from, she said it was not a company but a service center. She kept trying to get additional information and was thrown for a loop when I told her I had multiple computers. Finally when I explained I actually worked in the software industry she gave up and hung up.
