I just got a call from them. Again. The previous time I missed their call, and they didn't leave a message.
This time when I picked up, they asked for me by name. Perhaps I'm old fashioned, but I believe that anyone who calls must identify him or herself first before earning the right to converse with me. So, I asked who was calling, but they just repeated my name. So, I asked again who they were, but they just hung up. It was some guy with a think accent. Indian perhaps?
I don't know how they got my cell phone number, but whatever. At least Apple added the block feature recently, so I just blocked them.
This number calls daily, weekends included, often several times a day. The only id is Enfield CT. I do not answer if I do not recognize the number or caller id.
Called yesterday saying they were the GEEK SQUAD IN CT (I live in CA) they wanted me to turn on my computer and run a program- I said if I need geeks Ill call them locally. They called AGAIN today I didn't answer, I just blocked the number
They told me they are the GEEK SQUAD and detected issues on my computer-it was a guy from INDIA-
I also found out if you ever had a credit report TRANSUNION- EQUIFAX-OR EXPERIAN those crooks sell your information to anyone that wants it and they have everything from your social security number to your age-phone etc!!!
