Just got a call today with no message left. they called about 6 months ago from a different number the same thing about about my computer having virus - a womnan's voice
Received a call today from geek support (on behalf of windows) telling me that they are aware of problems on my computer. They wanted me to get on my computer. At that point, I told them I could not help them as they violated a federal regulation about calling people on the national do not call list. The guy who called me (with a strong Indian accent) promptly hung up. Caller ID did not show a company name, just enfield, ct.
11/29. Received call again from Geek Support, name is Jack (strong Indian accent) and he said they are in Enfield, CT. Just requested two days ago that this company NEVER call me as I am on the national do not call list and they are breaking a federal regulation by calling me. Jack promised to remove my phone number from their list.
I would suggest that people getting called from companies they do not know refrain from paying an upfront fee for services to be rendered, Feel free to check on internet or with Better Business Bureau before you pay an unknown company. It might be best to call YOUR malware protection company first.
Received call this morning 11/30 at 10:34 telling me that something was wrong with my database on my computer. I told them I did not have a computer. This is a scam call. Caller ID says Enfield, CT. Will be blocking this number.
