I hung up on first call from a different number - they called me back from this number. Claimed to be from Windows in response to the error messages that they are receiving from my computer due to being infected. When I asked how they got my phone number they disconnected.
I have a missed call from this number and they didn't leave a message. I use an app on my phone called Mr. Number which helps to identify callers. This specific call was identified as SCAM.
They left a voicemail about home security/monitoring systems. Given the history of this number it looks like they're trying a large variety of scams. I blocked them.
called me. said he worked for windows technical department. been called by these people for the past few years here and there. always wanting my Ip address they will never get it but yep there a scam watch out for it.
