My phone didn't have blocking ability, only send to voicemail. These scammers just change phone numbers every other day so blocking didn't even really help. I've got hundreds of junk phone numbers sent to voicemail only, but they'll never run out of numbers to call from. It's so sickening we have to put up with this.
A couple of scammer guys with heavy accents trying to help me with some notifications they were getting from my Windows computer.. which is odd.. because I have a Mac. I was able to draw them out for 7 and a half minutes asking them about the nature of the notifications, ok, hit 'CTRL R' but what screen should I be looking at?, is it ok that I have a Mac instead of Windows? I was pretty sarcastic throughout most of it but they seemed to want to press on. They spelled out a website for me to go to, but I honestly couldn't make out a few letters they said. When I tried to reading it back to confirm what they said, they accused me of wasting their time and hung up. Go figure.
I usually pick up, in case I won a prize or need to collect another inheritance from a Princely distant relative in a far away land. (x.x)
They claimed to be Microsoft support, said my system was running slow blah blah blah.
This could be dangerous though, as one of my laptops is running poorly and I'm currently in the process of ordering parts to replace, it's a hardware issue though not a software issue.
My point is, if someone isn't technically inclined and they're sitting there in front of their slow computer when these people call, they might give in.
