rec a call from cell number posted above. did not answer. first thought that it could of been a friend but didn't recognize area code. happy to be able to look the number up at this website. found out that it is advertising to lower interest rates. thank you for this website.
just got a call from this person from this number telling me that a legal action has been filed against me. they tried this last year. I promptly called the FBI and Bureau Of Investagation. This is a scam. Don't give any Information.
My 82-year old mom got a call from this number asking if she wanted to get her credit card interest rate lowered to 6-1/2%. The give-away for my mom should have been when the jerk asked her what her current interest rate was....if he was calling from the credit card company, he should have had that information. Unfortunately, she gave him the last 4-digits of the credit card and the last 4-numbers of her SS number. Once he got that information, he hung up on her...she tried to call back, but got some BS message about not being able to receive calls at that number.
Thank goodness she had the presence of mind to immediately call her credit card company and cancel the credit card thinking that she had just been scammed. INDEED, she was SCAMMED! Ignore these types of calls and do yourself a favor and get a Panasonic phone that has " 20-number caller block" feature built within the phone.
